Production Management

Peter Arkalis coordinates the purchase and delivery schedule of all raw materials to ensure timely and efficient flow throughout production and assembly. Prior to joining Angstrom Sciences in 2005, Mr. Arkalis worked as the Lead Production Coordinator for Microline/PENTAX Inc.

Mr. Arkalis has nearly ten years of shipping, receiving, and inventory management experience.

Ron Bergman was hired in January of 2007 as a design engineer for Angstrom Sciences’ sputtering magnetron and PVD material product lines. Mr. Bergman was promoted to Design Manager in November of 2007 and now leads a talented team of engineers and designers, specializing in 2D and 3D Computer-Aided Design. Prior to joining Angstrom Sciences, Mr. Bergman served 5 years as a Design Engineer for Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research.

Mr. Bergman holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

John Gogets started at Angstrom Sciences as a CNC Machinist in March of 2001. As Production Manager, Mr. Gogets oversees the programming and machining of all individual components for Angstrom Sciences’ various product lines in order to ensure quality and timeliness. He manages the day to day operations of Angstrom Sciences’ machine shop and its 12 full-time machinists.

Mr. Gogets has 16 years of machining experience. He earned his Journeyman Tool and Die Papers in 1991 from Central Westmoreland Area Vo-Tech School during his apprenticeship at Penn State Tool & Die Corporation.

All of Mr. Gogets’ machining experience has required Naval Nuclear precision and Vacuum Technology cleanliness.

Tim Long was hired as an assembly technician at Angstrom Sciences in October, 2001 and was promoted to the position of Assembly Supervisor in 2003. As supervisor, Mr. Long oversees a team of assembly personnel to ensure the accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery of all fulfilled orders.

Mr. Long has over twenty years of mechanical assembly experience.
