| UNBALANCED MAGNETRONS |
 Angstrom Sciences' offers a full range of Unbalanced Magnetron designs specific to your magnetic field or application. Unbalanced Magnetrons are characterized by a not-so-tightly-confined magnetic field, allowing for the magnetic "lines of force" to extend further out into the chamber. Since electrons and ions are less tightly bound to the target region, electrons, in particular, can more easily reach the substrate. This higher electron density near the substrate heats it to a higher temperature, and provides a mechanism for ionization; both of which can be important in the formation of special films. The Unbalanced Magnetrons have the option to be strengthened to the outer or inner magnet and to the exact degree required for your specific application. They are available in both circular and linear configurations and can be used with a Direct or Indirect Cooled design. Due to the open cathode body in our direct cooled design, there are even more options to use different magnet strengths for magnetic versatility in the field.

| DUAL MAGNETRON ASSEMBLIES |
 Angstrom Sciences offers a full line of Dual Magnetron Assemblies that are primarily used in AC applications for reactive sputtering. They are also ideal for in-line processes that require multiple material layers. We have provided various Dual Magnetron Assemblies in both internal and external mounting configurations.
By offering a broad range of magnetic configurations, it allows us to optimize each assembly for enhanced performance in it's specific application. Our custom engineering capability also enables us to provide design and mounted enhancements for easy implementation to any existing configuration.

to the position of Production Planner. Bates’ immediate
responsibilities are to optimize the scheduling of jobs
