| Welcome to the Angstrom Advantage™ September Newsletter |
 |
| This month, Angstrom Sciences features indium tin oxide for glass and electronic display applications. Also, read about our direct cooled design for both our circular and linear magnetrons. |

| Direct Cooled Magnetrons |
 |
| Eighty percent of the power supplied to a magnetron is converted into heat. If not controlled, the heat in the plasma could damage the target, the magnets and possibly the substrate. Angstrom Sciences’ Direct Cooled Design puts your target in direct contact with the cooling water, providing better thermal transfer through your target material. |
| |
| In the direct cooled arrangement, Angstrom Sciences' turbulent water flow allows for maximum target cooling and higher power densities at a maximum of 250 watts per square inch. |
| |
| Direct Cooled designs are ideal for demanding runs that require stable results in high throughput production applications. |
| |
| Circular DC Magnetrons |
 |
Circular Direct Cooled Magnetrons are available in all models from 2”OD to 16”OD.
Targets can be clamped, bonded or bolted directly to the cathode body.
If you'd like further information on our Circular Direct-Cooled Magnetrons, please complete our Application Questionnaire or contact Angstrom Sciences’ Circular Product Managers, Tom and Mike at 1.412.469.8466. |

| Linear DC Design |
 |
Angstrom Sciences offers a broad range of linear magnetron sizes ranging from 1.5” to 16” in width and up to 5 meters in length.
The direct-cooled design is configured for bolt-on metal targets or bonded ceramic targets to a bolt-on OFHC copper backing plate.
