| Direct/Indirect-Cooled Linear Magnetrons |
 |
Angstrom Sciences' Direct/Indirect-Cooled Linear Magnetron design offers maximum flexibility for your sputtering processes. Its versatile design allows for direct or indirect-cooled operation and comes equipped with a bolt-on, O-ring-sealed backing plate that mounts directly to the cathode body.
You can operate in an indirect-cooled mode by clamping your target directly to the backing plate assembly. If your application requires high throughput and maximum power density, you can operate in direct-cooled mode by removing the bolt-on backing plate and bolting your target directly to the cathode body For non-metallic or ceramic processes, you have the option of bonding your target to the backing plate and bolting both the target and the backing plate directly to the cathode body for optimal cooling efficiency. Three options in one body for maximum flexibility. Please contact your local Angstrom Sciences representative with any questions or requests for additional information on our Direct/Indirect-Cooled Linear Magnetron designs. |
