About Angstrom Sciences

Angstrom Sciences, Inc.

Mark Bernick founded Angstrom Sciences, Inc. in 1988 to supply advanced magnetrons and refined materials for plasma vapor deposition of high quality thin films. With a strong focus on research and development, the company soon patented several technical advancements in magnetics, water-cooling, and circular magnetron target clamping designs. The features of the Angstrom Advantage™ have created the most advanced and easy-to-use magnetrons in the thin film industry.

Thanks to the superior performance and robust construction of the ONYX® -series of circular deposition sources, Angstrom Sciences’ magnetron sputtering cathodes gained worldwide acceptance and the company has consistently grown its product line to include linear magnetrons, planar rotary magnetrons, and, most recently, rotating cylindrical magnetrons for high production applications.

Angstrom Sciences, Inc. is privately held, employs 27 highly-skilled specialists, and is headquartered in a free-standing 18,000 square-foot facility near Pittsburgh, PA.

A network of qualified vacuum deposition representatives and distributors are available throughout Asia, Australia, Europe and North America to assist you with your specific application needs.
